The perfect dish to serve if you are hosting a brunch.


Cinnamon French Toast:

1 loaf of egg bread sliced 1/2 inch thick (about 8 pieces)
10 eggs
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp honey
1 cup milk
powdered sugar
maple syrup
6-8 tbsp of butter
saute pan
13x8 baking dish
candied pecans, finely chopped

Mix together the eggs, milk, honey, cinnamon, salt and pepper. Place the pieced of bread flat in a long deep baking sheet or dish (you might only be able to soak a few at a time). Pour some of the mixture over the bread (enough to soak the each piece) and let soak for a few minutes.

Saute each piece in 1 tbsp of butter until lightly browned and cooked. Spread/layer the pieces of bread on a serving platter. Drizzle warm maple syrup over the bread and sprinkle powdered sugar and the candied pecans over the top. Serves a crowd of 8.
