1 cup flour
1 cup water
1/2 cup salt
2 tsp cream of tarter
1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
In a small pot mix these ingredients together and stir for 2-3 minutes on medium heat (or until it becomes doughy and comes away from the sides of the pot easily). Take out the dough and knead for 2-3 minutes (use a small amount of flour if it is too sticky). Form into a log and cut into thirds.
Poke each piece and add two drops of food coloring of your choice into the center. Knead the dough until it has completely mixed together (it will look blotchy at first). Place into a zip lock bag and seal it tight. Let it sit for twenty minutes so the color can evenly spread throughout the dough.
